Have you ever started avacado seeds in soil? If so, any tips? How long would one take to germinate? Thanks in advance.

Hi Barbara,
Yes, I have started an avocado seed in a pot of soil. Just bury it twice as deep as the seed's length. Keep the soil moist (not soggy) and warm (around 75 degrees F). It will take up to 6 months to germinate. Sometimes sooner. I hope this helps.
