Question
When the flowers turn to bunches of seeds and weigh the branches down am I supposed to cut the pods off?

Hi Paula,
Thanx for your question.  You can cut the pods off if you want but it seems like an awful lot of trouble to me.  If you live in the South these trees can get pretty tall.  Here in the Midwest they're pretty manageable in size as they usually grow in a shrub habit.  I wouldn't bother with it myself if I were you.  I hope this helps.
