i would like to know how to make cuttings of a japanese maple plant do i use rooting hormone or how do i make additional plants from a japenese maples

Thanx for your question.  Japanese maples are generally difficult to root from vegetative cuttings.  Most people grow them from seed, graft or buy small trees.  Here is a link to a website with good info for growing from vegetative cuttings.  I hope this helps.
