seeds for Prunus Shirotae (mount Fuji)


Question
Where can i get seeds for Prunus Shirotae "Mount Fuji"? All tha places who sell the sell them pruned op to a high af 1 meter or more and i want the branches to start from the very bottom. I have looked and lokked  so i hope you can help me.

Hi Charlotte,
Thanx for your question.  I believe this tree is a selection/cultivar and is not propagated by seed but by grafting onto a hardier Prunus species.  I refer you to Jim Hyland our tree expert on Allexperts.  Mr. Hyland has many years experience with the U.S. Forestry Service and is much more qualified than I to answer this question concerning trees.  Here is how to access Jim.
