Apple tree seedling

Question
I have grown an apple tree, from a pip. its now about 2inches high, and looks quite good, but it has some sort of fungus on its leaves, (i think!) The leaves seem to have a white, webby substance on them, that comes in patches, it looks almost like something spinning minute webs !! I have sprayed it with a bug spray a few times, but this webby fungus keeps comin g back. It makes the leaves bubble up. Can you advise?   Thankyou

Answer
Susan, based on your description, it sounds like powdery mildew or a similar fungus disease. You need to spray the tree with a fungicide every 10 days until the problem disappears. You can purchase a fungicide specific for fruit trees at your local garden center.

Good luck, and please write again if I can ever provide assistance.

Regards,

Mike
