Creosote Bush from Seed

Question
I live in SE Houston TX and wish to start some creosote bushes from seed. I have the seed and wish to know how to get them started - I am no gardener but follow directions very well. Container size, type of potting soil, amount of watering, heat/cold - I need to know everything. I am aware that this is a desert plant and if I get them going then watering will be controlled. We have hot humid summers and mild winters, hardly a light freeze at all. Thanks in advance!!!

Answer
You will find info at http://www.desertusa.com/creoste.html including the following:

How to grow from seeds.

Place several of these seed capsules in a shallow pan cover with boiling water. Let them soak over night, and then place a few seed capsules in a pot with soil and start to water. Thin out the extra seedlings and plant.

To this I would add that the amount of boiling water should not exceed what will cool down within a couple of minutes.  You want to wake up the seeds (break dormancy), not make soup.
