growing confederate jasmine from seed

Question
I have seed pods on my confederate jasmine.  How should I plant them to grow from seed?

Answer
Hi Kathy,
Thanx for your question.  Confederate jasmine is usually propagated by cuttings or by layering.  Seeds however, require no cold period so just place the seed on top of moist potting soil and gently press them into the soil.  Keep the soil moist but not soggy.  Keep warm (75-80F).  Germination should occur in a few weeks.  Prick out seedlings when large enough to handle and put them in separate pots.  When transferring seedlings to outdoors (frost-free) place in the shade for 10 days before planting in the garden bed or placing in full sun.  I hope this helps.
Tom
