Polka-Dot plant

Question
I have a polka dot plant that is growing great right now.  Its in its proper light and soil requirements.  However, every few days one of the bottom leaves on the vine will lose color and die off.
I have not yet been able to figure out what is causing this.  Any ideas ?
Thanks !

Answer
Kristin, the fact that its bottom leaves, is a good sign; this is perfectly fine and normal for any plant. Had you told me the top leaves were yellowing and dropping, then we would have a problem; don't concern yourself, its just the plant going through a normal growing procedure. Check for small sucking insects, ie: mites, scale, mealy bug, aphid, sometimes these will cause the leaf to yellow and drop off, they can be hard to see with the naked eye, so look close and if you do detect any insect action, then you can take appropriate steps to erradicate them. good luck Nick
