frost injured Hawaiian Schefflera

Question
Hello,
I have had this Hawaiian Schefflera for about 3 years and it is about five feet tall and 3 feet wide (lots of pruning to keep it this size).  It summered on my front porch and I forgot to bring it inside until after I woke up to a hard frost.  Almost all of the leaves had to be pruned off and the rest of the leaves don't look great.  I really like this plant and am wondering if it can be saved.  BTW I live in North Pennsylvania

Answer
Hi Jasmine, if the rootball didn't freeze then it should be ok! the fact that the frost burned the crown is superficial, the roots are the important part, so cheer up! and prune the dead leaves of and wait for regeneration, but don't water it too much in this condition, it needs to heal. Nick
