Question
Wondering what a good choice would be for a shrub at the front of my house facing south. It gets lots of sun year round. We had a boxwood there but it didn't survive the winter as too much snow was left on it over the winter. Beside it would be an existing holly bush. We live 1 hour north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada

There are some cultivars of Taxus cuspidata in the trade that may fit the bill for you and would complement your existing holly.  Check with your local nurseries to see which are available in your area.
