worms on rose bush

Question
I have a knockout rose bush that is app.4yrs. old. The last 2 years I've noticed the leaves being eaten and webbed looking in appearance. Finally this year in early spring I have seen aphids but more worrysome,I found some worms on the underside that have what looks to be a reddish head, dark green stripe down the center and lighter green around the sides. I have already used Bayer Advanced All-in-One Rose and Flower Care Concentrate that you apply to the roots(2 weeks ago) and it does not seem to have helped. I'm desperate to save this bush as it is beautiful when bloomed and the center of attraction in my front yard.HELP!!!!!!!!!

Answer
This may not be correct but I am getting a lot of questions concerning the re-action of Bayer All in One spray on Knock Out roses. There may be something in this spray that Knock Out roses don't like. You can just pick the worms off but I would spray the ground all around the base of the rose with the bayer spray as this is where the worms are coming from. Some gardeners have success with spraying worms on roses with 1 tablespoon Canola oil and 1 quart of water. It suffocates the worms. If this still doesn't work then I would try a different spray.
