Mr Lincoln Rose Bush

Question
Hello, I have a MR Lincoln Jackson & perkons rose bush. I have had it for about 3 yrs. About a month ago all my rose were budding very good. Then we had a hard frost. All the new growth died back on all 5 rose bushes. (not all 5 are mr lincolns, 2 are) 4 rose bushes got new growth since and are exploding with new growth, except that one MR Lincoln. It has no new sign of any new growth. What could be wrong? Did it die? Thanks. I live in Zone 5 Colorado.

Answer
You and everybody else, Steve, the entire country, is on pins and needles this spring over our weird weather.

Daffodils and Roses, Tulips and Camellias, there a widespread Fear Of Freezing in the garden.

I can't see your Mr Lincoln but I do feel your pain.  Unfortunately, there is just no easy way to do this.  You have to wait and see what happens.

That's the plain and simple truth.  I wish I could make it easier, but that's it.

One more thing, Steve:  Get used to this weird weather.  It's here.  Like a famous Gardener once said:  We're in for a bumpy ride.

Sorry.  We're all in the same boat.  Your Mr Lincoln.  My Winston Churchill Daffodils.  C'est la vie.

Thanks for writing.
