Rose pests.

Question
I have tiny green worms eating my rose leaves.  They leave skeleton spots all over the leaves.  I have tried ecosence spray on them but they are all on the bottom of the leaves and it is impossible to get them all.I fertalize my plants regularly and they are well cared for.  This is the second year my rose bed has been attacked by these lovely little worms and by the middle of summer the bushes are a mess.  I pick all the dead leaves off all my plants in the late fall ( a tedious job I might add) and short of that am very frustrated. HELP!

Answer
Hi Ann,

If you can get it, try Sevin(this is the brand name spelling) dust.  it is a good insecticide that should take care of your worms.  Unfortunately, some of these worms are tough.   The Sevin dust is safe to use even on vegetables- just follow the label.  You will have to re-apply if it rains.  Once you get rid of the pests, just apply as needed.

Please let me know if that works or if you cannot get Sevin where you live.
