Stella de Oro not blooming

Question
I planted Stella de Oro daylilies 1 year ago.  They are not crowded.  One of my plants stopped blooming a few weeks ago.  It has the green "pods" but has produced no flowers recently.  Is it a pest problem or nutrient issue?  We have Japanese beetles but I don't think they are bothering the lilies as much as other flowers.  However, I wonder if the grubs are eating the roots of this plant.  It looks like the buds or pods are dying without producing flowers.  Please help.  Thanks.

Answer
HI Jennifer,
Thanx for your question.  The pods are seed pods.  If you will remove the spent flowers and prevent the pods from forming this helps keep them blooming.  Remove the pods now and they should bloom a little bit until mid-Fall.  I hope this helps.
Tom
