toppling indoor plant

Question
My plant (not sure the name of it has grown so tall it has toppled over. It has grown a new shoot from the stem, but all lower leaves have gradually come of naturally. What do I do now? How do I repot????

Answer
Hi Louise,

It is hard to tell you just what to do without knowing what kind of plant you have. (If you can e-mail a photo to me at the address below, then I can provide a plant ID and give you a better answer.)

I can tell you that repotting will NOT help. Pruning your plant is probably the solution although staking may also help.
