indoor rose bush?

Question
Hello,
I recently got a small rose bush as a present, and don't want it to die as most of my plants do. I'm not sure the exact type, but its very small and a dark red colour, any help would be appreciated.
Thanx!

Answer
Hi Emma,

If your rose is potted in a small pot and is intended for indoor use, then it will not do well after it has finished flowering. Roses require cool to cold winter temps. Yours is probably a hybrid that is bred to bloom just once and then not bloom again. Most people discard their miniature indoor roses after they have finished flowering for that reason.

I am sorry I don't have more positive news for you, but I don't want to add to your list of plant failures as this is one plant for which you really cannot do much.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
