Question
I have an umbrella tree which is now over 7' tall and as it has now reached the ceiling the top leaves have nowhere to go.  I have had this plant over 20 years.  How do I prune the leaves.

Hi Jo,
You can just cut the plant down to where you want it. After you cut the top off the stem you can start a new plant by dipping the cut end in rooting hormone and put in fresh soil. In a few weeks the cutting will root.
