please can you tell me why my umbrella plant leaves are going from green to yellow and dropping off

Insects, not enough sun or too much water can cause leaf problems. First examine the front & back sides of the leaves and the trunk thoroughly for anything unusual and let me know if you find anything besides plain leaves. Otherwise this plant needs lots of sun and it should never sit with a drain tray full of water, empty it with a turkey baster an hour after you water it and do not water it again until it is very dry, at least 4-5 days this time of year. 2-3 days when it is warmer. Insects are the most likely cause so inspect it closely and let me now what you find.
