White Fungus on Plants

Question
Hello Darlene:

I too have had some difficulty with white fungus on plants.  I live in the high desert, and therefore have all my plants inside during the winter.  That seems to encourage the white fungus.  Putting them outside in the cold seems to kill the fungus, but it comes back in the warmer inside.  It also has gone from one plant to several of my other plants....

I've used a very mild bleach solution, and that seemed to work for a while.

Is there something besides the Lysol or mild bleach solution application?

Thanks, Sharon

Answer
Sharon,

Tell me more about this fungus. Does it look like mold all over the plant or does it look more like little tufts of cotton balls here and there on the plants? Are they especially on the back sides of the leaves and on the leaf joints where the leaf joins the trunk? Let me know whether it is more like a mold or like bits of cotton balls and then I will tee you what to do about them.

Darlene
