mylar plant

Question
i got them from work they are on the way to dying cause no one watered them what do i need to do to save them so i can plant them outside next yr, an when do i need to plant them or should i just put them in bigger pots an put outside in mid to late spring?

Answer
Hi Sharon,

I hate to tell you, but there is noting you can do for these Hyacinth bulbs excel discard them. They are probably hybrids intended for forcing indoors. You indicate they are dying so the forcing was probably already attempted and they may have even bloomed. However, there is no second chance for forcing bulbs and the hybrids will not bloom a second time.

If they were intended for outdoor planting, then they should have been planted in the fall prior to the first frost so they would get the full benefit of winter dormancy. But it is too late for that.

So I am sorry to say you have run out of options and are trying to do the impossible.
