mint plant

Question
I have 2 large healthy mint plants and within the past week the leaves are staring to get holes in them.  Is this a fungus, disease or bug?  Thank you for any information on this issue as it is the only outdoor plant I really like and enjoy. I live in Las Vegas and the plant does it lots of water.

Answer
Barbara:
The mint usually gets root bound if they have been growing in a container for some time. This sometimes make them weaker and resistant to insect attacts are often. There is an worm that attack the mint. Go to gardens alive.com for organic insecticides. Prune the plant by 1/3 on each branch to promote more healthy growth.
