Hi,
My "Mojito" mint plant is getting black spots on the edges. The container it is in now dries out very quickly and I need to water it every day so I'm wondering if it is getting too much water. Right now it's in a sunny east window and I plan to re-pot it in a barrel outside. Help!

Are they actual spots, or are the edges turning dry? Mint does like moisture, and daily watering in a container is not necessarily too much. Do you check the soil before watering? If it is dry one inch down, it's OK to water, otherwise you could hold off. I'm wondering though if it isn't the hot sun that's causing the spots.
