Question
My 1 year old Peace Lily is in an 8" clay pot. It has developed black leaf for the past 2 months.I've tried filtered sun,no sun,warm conditions away from drafts,yet even the tiny new leaves get black on the edges and soon the entire leaf. I water when the soil is dry or almost dry.I don't know if I have city water or not.

Is it in a pot with a drainage hole in the bottom and do you empty the drainge tray and hour after watering it? It needs to be very dry before you water it. Black leaves are a sign of overwatering or sitting too long in a tray full of water.

It needs bright light and this time of year can be close to a south facing window because the sun is too high in the sky to shine in the windows much.
