Question
Hi,

I live in Walnut Cove, NC and my climate growing zone is 7. I just wanted to know what advice you might have for me before I plant a bunch of flytraps in my bog (some of which will be bareroot). Will they be less sensitive since they will be entering dormnacy? Anything you think I ought to know would be very helpful.

Typically planting is done in early spring.  You can also plant them in fall provided that the plants are well acclimated for outdoor growing in your region.  This is very important.  If you received flytraps that was grown outside of your region or in a greenhouse, you will need to use pots and grow and shelter them for the winter until spring.  If you choose to plant them in your bog garden, minimize root disturbance as much as possible and wait until early December to winterize your bog garden.
