I bought a sundew from Home Depot. They named it Octopus plant. Anyway, I repotted it in a mix of 50/50 coconut coir and vermiculite. Is this mix ok?

Hi Dylan,

I'm hoping that when you say octopus plant you mean Drosera capensis.  The soil mix you mentioned isn't at all appropriate for this plant.  The plant will not grow well in this mix and may die within a month or two.

The appropriate mix is equal parts peat moss and perlite.  You can find this information in the care guide section of our main website.
