calamondin orange trees

Question
I have two calamondin trees.  One developed a cottony appearing fungus, primarily on the fruits which caused the fruit to drop.  I looked at it under the microscope and it is a fungus with branching hyphae and yeast forms.  How should I treat?  the second tree has what sounds like scale based upon an answer I read at this site.

Answer
Hi Martha, You need a good insecticidal spray to control this problem and the one on your other tree.  I would use 100 per cent pure Neem Oil spray, as it is organic and does not wash off.  Make sure you trees have no mulch, grass, weeds under the canopy of the tree, just sand or dirt.  Water regularly, weekly at minimum 3 inches, drip irrigation or water by hose to keep water off the leaves of your trees.
