Question
Is there a way to make a wild persimmon tree that has not produced fruit produce fruit? It seems we have allot of volunteer trees that do not produce.

Hi Chris,
Thanx for your question.  This is really a tree question and we have a tree expert here on All Experts.  His name is Jim Hyland and he has a lot of experience with the U.S. Forestry Service.  You can access Jim by going back to Home/Gardening and then click on Trees and then Click on Trees again.  

Persimmons are dioecious meaning that there are male trees and female trees.  On rare occasions there can be a monoecious tree that has both male and female flowers.  I'm wondering if you may not have a stand of one sex of the tree and they are not able to pollinate.  I'm hoping Jim can answer this question for you.
