Mexican key lime tree

Question
Kathy -

My tree is three years old, in the ground (we have very sandy soil and live very near the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida panhandle), and gets full sun.

About a month ago, these perfectly concentric orange powdery circles (pictures attached) showed up on the bark and now that branch is dying while the rest of the tree remains healthy. The branch with the circles has lost almost all of its leaves and I can see the beginnings of these circles on the healthy branches.

The local extension office told me to cut the branch off but I am uncertain. If there is a way to save the dying branch and stop whatever it is on the healthy branches, I want to.

Thank you

Answer
Hi Kim,  I would cut off the dead branch of the citrus.  Do not see your picture, maybe you forgot to attach it.  I would get some atomic grow, which is organic, and will bring your tree back to health.  I would spray the leaves and give it a drench of the product.  I have seen miracles with this product.  You will spray everything in site.  kathy
