Lime tree disease

Question
I have a lime tree in my garden. I have noticed that some of the leaves curl and are also misformed. Most of the fruit is normal but some of the fruit are also misformed. What is the problem? Thank you

Answer
Hi Leonard, You need a good insecticidal spray to control this problem, sounds like leaf minor, which makes your tree look horrible and  crinkles the leaves.  A moth lays eggs on the underside of the leaves, you will see what looks like railroad tracks.  The moth goes to sleep in the winter and the new leaves will come out fine.  As far as the fruit, citrus gets lots of problems, the Neem Oil is a great preventive.    I would use 100 per cent pure Neem Oil spray, as it is organic and does not wash off and will build up protection for all your plants in your yard.  Make sure you trees have no mulch, grass, weeds under the canopy of the tree, just sand or dirt.  Water regularly, weekly at minimum 3 inches, drip irrigation or water by hose to keep water off the leaves of your trees. kathy
