QUESTION: My seedling was about a foot tall and something broke the top right off. Now its a stick with 2 leaves. Is it a lost cause?

ANSWER: Hi Misti, As long as you still have leaves it should just continue to grow.  A critter  walking past it or a snail or slug munching on the stem can cause the problem.  kathy

Misti,  It will cause it to branch, just keep taking care of it the way you have been.  It will continue to grow and sometimes when that happens it causes it to grow faster as it causes the roots to grow, then the top shoots up.  Maybe put it in a different place where it will not be hurt again.  kathy
