Question
Hi, I need suggestions on what to do or plant in a small(2'x7'),south exposure area under a kitchen window, between the house and sidewalk . I live in Northwest IN. and my soil is very sandy. I don't get around to watering that area very much, so I need ideas on low water, easy maintanance plants/shrubs. Any other ideas are welcome.  Thank You Judy

So you need something that will tolerate neglect :)

I would plant Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm', or black eyed susan.  It will be OK with the infrequent watering, fill your space, and flower all summer.
