Question
I have a plant with large leafs in shape of a hand.  Approx. 10 fingers on a long stem. Not sure of the name. Tried to look it up on the web but was not successful.  It is in a window, but don't seems to be doing well. What should I do?

I beleive that your plant is a Schefflera arboricola, you can confirm that by looking at the pictures at this site:

In what way is it not doing well? Describe to me what is wrong with it. If it is a Schefflera arboricola it needs full sun and it needs to dry out totally between waterings. Email me again and describe to me what is happening to it and if you are seeing anything unusual on the leaves and I will tell you what more you can do to heop you with the plant. Good luck.
