Marc,
I have heard that you can stain concrete. I have a set of ugly concrete steps and would like to stain or cover them.
Do you know and or recommend any product that I can use to stain the steps.

Concrete is a very porous material and takes staining quite well.  It is really a simple product.  I know that our local Home Depot carries a brand, but I don't remember the name off the top of my head.  Their national website wasn't easy to navigate (homedepot.com), so you'll have to go to the closest store and see what is locally available.
