Water source

Question
I turned on the water sprinkler system last week, everything worked fine until I noticed water bubbling out of the ground, I dug down to irrigation PVC and saw two PVC pipes, and water was coming out of end of PVC pipe that had a cable running through it. I can not imagine the entry source. Can you help?

Answer
The pipe with a cable inside of it is most likely serving as a conduit for an electrical wire of some kind, so be careful.  Being that it is in close proximity to the irrigation, it could be a sprinkler wire.  If there is water coming out of the conduit, then it must be getting in from a source somewhere.  I would check all the valve boxes to see if there is a leak that it filling up the conduit.
