3 of 5 zones dont work after installing solenoid

Question
After replacing the solenoid for zone 5, the system worked for one watering
cycle and hasn't worked since.  I was certain that I had reconnected the wires
together in the manner in which I found them, but am now beginning to
doubt that I did since the system isn't working.  How are wires supposed to
be hooked together for zones 3 thru 5?  The wire colors are yellow, red,
green, white, and blue.  The blue wire is not connected to anything and does
not have any metal showing.  Zone 3 was connected to the yellow wire.  Zone
4 was connected to the red wire.  Zone 5 - I think was connected to the green
wire.  What does the white wire get connected to?  Does each solenoid get
connected to the white wire.
I discovered tonight that a fuse in the timer is blown.  Likely because I
reconnected the solenoid up incorrectly.

Greatly appreciate any advice or direction you can provide.
Sharon

Answer
Sorry for my delay of answering.
The white wire is the "common". In the controller, it is "COM". It is common to all valves so, yes 1 wire from each solenoid is to be connected to it. Then the remaining wire of each solenoid are connected to individual wires.
hope this helps

Matt
