Sprinkler timer does not change zone

Question
I have a Rain Bird system with a timer that can no longer changes from one zone to the next after each set time.  However if I manually move the dial to the beginning of the desired zone, the dial can move automatically to the set time but will stay there until I manually move it again.  Please help.  Thanks so much.

Answer
Hey Anh, I hope this helps. This controller has two motors in it. One motor advances the dial from one zone to the next, and one motor times the different amount of time the zones are set to run. I would suspect that the timing motor has gone out on it. If it's not the timing motor, then it is the switch that advances the dial. I would suggest taking it to a irrigation supply store to see if they can fix it for you, or call an irrigation repairman to look at it for you. You might get an estimate to repair it, (the motors might be hard to find). If it is going to be more than $100.00, it might be better to get a digital controller. I think they have discontinued making the mechanical controllers. Let me know if I can be of anymore help, thanks and have a good day.
