Question
Turned on after being off for winter.  Display is reading correctly.  Did not come on at set time.  Tried manual operation of all zones but no response from any.  Have disconnected, cleared and tried again...still, no operation.  Can change days off/on and valve run times but system appears to be dead.  Is it possible controller is just "gone"??

Make sure that the wires are connected at the terminals on the controller, especially the control wire.  Also check the wire connections at the valves and make sure they are sound.  If you have a multimeter you can check the output of the controller by setting the meter for AC 120V or lower, then turn on a station, then touch the red lead to the valve station and the black one to the control terminal.  It should read 24V.  If it has no output, replace the controller.  If it does, you probably have a bad wire connection at one of the valves.
