QUESTION: I have a Hydro Rain HR 6100, it is some years old but has been working great until this year.  When you use the function dial, the dial seems to be disconnected and doesn't feel like its engaged.  As a result, no sprinkling!  Any way to check further or what do you suggest?

ANSWER: Hey Yvonne, it would be hard to say if the dial actually broke off from the turret on the back, or it has stripped out and is no longer functioning. Either way, this controller has not been made for about 15 years. Hydro-rain was bought out by Irri-trol, and the newer version of the old HR 6100 is the indoor version of the Irri-trol "Rain Dial" controller. I would suggest replacing the existing controller with a newer indoor "Rain dial" controller, because your old one is not repairable. Sorry for the bad news. Good luck and have a great day.

Hey Yvonne, Yes the system is compatible with your current system. I believe your existing 6100 was an indoor model, and you can get the Rain dial controller as an indoor or an outdoor model.
