dragons blood plant?

Question
Last year some one game me a plant & told me that it was a dragons blood plant. But the plants i see in the stores don't realy look like it. Some of them look more like a perenial(?) while others look like a tree. The three plants i have, have a "palm tree-like" trunk with very long thin leaves. The leaves are a a greenish/red tinge. Do i have a dragons blood plant or some thing else?

Answer
There is a sedum called Dragon's Blood, that would be the perennial that you where shown.
I would guess you have what is called Dragon's Blood Tree (Dracaena draco). They are suppose to "bleed" red sap. If yours doesn't do that it is more then likely the standard Dracaena. Unfortunately that is the problem with common names...plants get lumped together.

Vince - You can send me a picture at [email protected] if you want.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question,
