Question
I live in the Los Angeles area and want to plant some shrubs in pots to create some privacy (north facing patio). Are there varietals that do better in pots than others? Ideally, I'd like for them to grow to be about 2-3 feet tall. Thanks for your help.

You can plant anything in pots and have them thrive with the proper care. I would recommend going to your local nursery and seeing what plant types you like best. Some of the plants that I would recommend are- Boxwoods, Yews, Azaleas and Alberta Spruces
