Weeds!

Question
I am very reluctant to use any weedkiller on my garden and vegetables throughout the year, but am increasingly fed up with the proliferation of weeds I get in the soil, the sooner I weed them out back they come with a vengence... can you recommedn an organic weedkiller that I can treat the soil and get rid of them or at least control them
many thanks
Chris

Answer
Hi Chris, I know your frustration well, the problem with most substances for weed eradication is soil contamination, some success is being had with corn gluten as a weed killer, but it is not cheap! vinegar will kill alot of weeds but you can't make the solution very strong and consequently the weeds reappear. the best practice is constant turning of the soil or organic mulches.
