Chillis

Question
Hi.
At the beginning of last year, I emptied the seeds from a red chilli into a plant pot of compost and left it to grow which it did.
The pot now has about 35 stems in it ranging from about 4inches to 12 inches in height. The plant has never flowered or shown any sign of fruit, and over the last 2 days the stems have started to loose their leaves leaving only the few at the top.
What I need to ask, is what should I be doing with the plant for it to be successful?
Thank you in advance
Heather

Answer
Heather:

Your plants have to be pollinated in order to produce. Using left over seeds as not the best way for production.

I recommend that you start over using a small inexpensive pack of seeds. Let them germinate and reach about 5 inches. Then transplant them as you need.

Hoping that your next attempt will be more productive.

Best wishes and happy growing.
