Tomato seeds

Question
I accidentally ripped out my whole tomato plant (acid free tomato) The plant itself has since been discarded. I am wondering if I can cut open a few of the tomatoes that I harvested from the original plant, dry the seeds and replant them in hopes that they will grow into a tomato plant next year? If I can in fact replant the seeds, when would be the time to do it? Now, in early November, or in the early to late spring for next year?
Thanks

Answer
Rachelle:

You can try to save some seeds. If you save the seeds make sure that they are completely dry before you try to use them again. New seeds have been treated and should perform better. In Ontario it is getting cold so you will have to protect your plants with a lot of sun light and heat. Maybe you would want to wait until spring time for a natural plant and growing conditions.

Best wishes.
