tabasco plants no peppers

Question
Hi, I have two Tabasco plants that I planted next to each other, about 18inches apart in April. I live in West Texas. There on an elevated terrace. They are now about 18 inches tall... There green and look healthy and everything... Problem is I havent seen one pepper. Nor flowers on it... Ive tried reseraching this but to no avail... Please help

I'm not familiar with this variety, it is possible that you don't have the right growing conditions for it. Peppers are very temperature sensitive - they won't set fruit below a certain temp and flowers will fall off over certain temps. They don't sound too big, so I doubt you have over fertilized, which can also cause a lack of fruit. The soil could be too low on phosphorus, which is needed for flowering and fruiting.
