mosquitoes

Question
How can I prevent mosquitoes from breeding/emerging from the water that my carnivorous plants live in?

Answer
Hi Neil,

Aside from dumping your trays regularly, this is what you need:  http://www.summitchemical.com/mosquito/mosquito-dunks/  Most garden centers carry these and you can also order them online from many different websites.  We've used them for years in the nursery, and they work very well.  They are 100% harmless to plants and non-target aquatic animals.  They kill larvae of insects in the fly family, so they are also useful in controlling fungus gnats indoors.

Good Growing!
