Corpse Flower Plants

Corpse Flower Plants

Titan Arum

Native ito Indonesia, the Corpse Flower holds the distinction of being one of, if not THE stinkiest, foulest smelling flowers on the planet.

Corpse Flowers are rarely in bloom. But, when they finally open their flowers, hold your nose. This plant has a big, big stench.

But what is the stink all about? Well, the horrible odor emitted from the cup shaped flowers, attracts flies and beetles. These insects lay their eggs inside the incredibly stinky blooms. In return, the insects pollinate the flowers.

Corpse plants grow in tropical areas, with high heat and humidity.
