Question
Hello ... I have a large bag of lime that I purchased several years ago and presume that I had a specific use for it at the time and I'm wondering if I can still use it to spread on my gardens and lawn?  It is a powder form and if it can still be used, how would I apply it and how much.  Thank you in advance.

Hi Scott, You may not need to add lime to your garden, only a pH test would tell.  But 40 lbs. added to 1000 sq. ft. only raises the pH about 1/2 point.  You could spread it over 5000 sq. ft. if you just want to get rid of it with no impact to your lawn and garden.  Jim
