Ventricosa pt.2

Question
Sorry! In response to my last question-I did everything you suggested about a month ago regarding my Nepenthes Ventricosa, but it still has not begun to grow pitchers. It was fine the last two years. I put it outside in June, like always. I tried to give it more sunlight and water, but it still isn't growing pitchers, the tendrils dry up, starting at the end. Otherwist, its growing fine. Any suggestions?

Hi Craig,

It may just need more time to adjust to the transition.  What are your temperatures like right now?  If it has been cool this will definitely affect pitchering.  We just put some Nepenthes outside two days ago since it's been so cool here.  I still go back to how much sun it's getting, however.  Light, first, then temperatures second are the biggest factors in our nursery on whether or not Nepenthes pitcher.

I've included a photo from the Lelani Hapu'u Nepenthes nursery in Hawaii.  This will give you a good idea of how much sun the grower of this nursery gives his plants.

Good Growing!
