Question
I hope this is the correct name for this plant.  In the evening the leaves fold up as in the prayer positon.  the leaves are green/purple very sturdy plant.
My question..there are these seed like pods growing from the stems are these to be cut off?  I don't want the plant to die or loose any of its strength...What should I do?

I don't think it will hurt the plant for it to stay on.  It is most likely blooming.  If you don't like it take it off.  That will not hurt it either.  If you keep it on be sure to fertlize.  I like fish emulsion myself (and so do the plants).  It will need extra energy to sustain the bloom.  They will die on their own when it is time.  Then you can cut them off.
