Pitcher Plant Damage

Question
Hi, I'm asking a question regarding my S. Readii.  Recently, one of the emerging pitcher's tip broke off, the part where the top of the pitcher will form.  It's already several inches tall, and I don't know what to do.  Any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
Not much you can do to repair it.  The damage to that leaf is permanent.  The most you can do is simply wait until new pitchers develop.  Given your location, it may be until mid summer before this plant really takes off and produces a bunch of new growth.  For now, just let the plant be.  When you have more pitchers, you can cut off the damaged one.

Good growing!
